This is the audience of talk radio in Colombia: Caracol and La FM are up, and La W is down

The most recent Ecar study, which measures radio tuning in Colombia, reveals that Caracol Radio, led by Gustavo Gómez, is the number one talk radio station in the country, with 1,675,500 listeners (total yesterday ).


Blu Radio, directed by Néstor Morales, remained in second place with 1,386,800 listeners (yesterday's total). La W, led by Julio Sánchez Cristo, was in third place with 1,331,600 listeners (yesterday's total). The FM, led by Luis Carlos Vélez, is in fourth place with 1,066,200 listeners (total yesterday); and RCN La Radio ranked fifth with 576,900 listeners (yesterday's total).


The toughest competition is fought in the time slot from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. m., Monday through Friday. At this time, things are like this, according to Ecar: La W has 920,000 listeners and lost 102,000; Caracol Radio has 811,000 listeners and gained 15,000; and Blu Radio has 804,000 listeners and lost 111,000. In the case of La FM, it has 619,000 listeners and was the one that rose the most: it gained 60,000 listeners. In that slot, RCN La Radio is in fifth place with 259,000 listeners and gained 11,000.


Other interesting data from the Ecar study show that, in Bogotá, Caracol Radio is the leader (829,200 listeners). They are followed by La W (639,900 listeners), Blu Radio (636,500 listeners), La FM (423,000) and RCN La Radio (236,700).


In Medellín, La FM leads, followed by Caracol Radio, Blu Radio, La W and RCN La Radio.

In Cali, the leading station is Blu Radio. They are followed by Caracol Radio, W Radio, La FM and RCN La Radio.

In Barranquilla it also leads Blu Radio. They are followed by Caracol Radio, W Radio, RCN La Radio and La FM.
